Macon Wine offers wine catering services (we call these wine experiences) and an independent online directory that explores the wine, dining, and retailers in and around Macon, Georgia.  We seek to uncover the wine offerings available, to promote the region, and continue to learn about wine, viticulture, wine production, and the wine industry. Macon Wine is owned and operated by Jonathan Simpson.

After completing a course of study at the Napa Valley Wine Academy and upon completing other requirements,  Jonathan Simpson became a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) in 2017.  His fascination with wine started when his father, Keith, brought home a bottle of 1999 Miner Merlot from the Stagecoach Vineyard after a business trip.  Keith said that a good friend and wine enthusiast introduced him to the wine, and gave the bottle to Jonathan to open up sometime in the future.  Since then, Jonathan has pursued his passion for wine and wine culture, exploring and constantly learning.  Jonathan is an attorney, licensed to practice in Georgia and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.  He and his spouse, Hunter Godsey, live in Macon, Georgia.
